Decorating Teen Girls Bedroom?
Hey I'm 14 and I'm moving into a new house at the begining of the Summer. I am getting a room that is in the verry bottom of the house and fairly large is you go downstairs there is a large laundry room to the right and then a closet in the middle and a door that goes to my bedroom to the left. also there is a random nothing room behind the laundry room. Its kinda like a mini mini apartment. But anyway I wanna know how I can decorate my room. I want things to be organised. And I want them to be funky and unique. Something that no one else has. We're turning the laundry room into a small bathroom (cuz its so large) and the backroom into a T.V room where I can just sit and hang with friends. Idk what fun stuff I can do to my room to make it pretty. What are your suggestions? I'm pretty girls but I have a wicked tomboyish side too. I love that girls room in Sleepover. I saw an example of a picture clothshanger that was pretty cool. I want it collorful and fun and different. Any ideas? I want idead for how I can pain/stuff i can put on my walls/ what are some different methods of organising things/cool ides that you have seen in pple bedrooms and never would have thought up yourseld. I want my own personal space. (i have a laptop and a tv) so yea where can I pu them? Little designs I can do....etc. Thanx! (links to pics of cool things that i could do would be nice)

- http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/categories/rooms/bedroom/ go there, and search through the ideas they have for rooms.
- play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours: http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/ I think it would look cool to paint your room "gauzy white" (# 6035) and the paint designs with other colors, such as these examples: http://www.roomvues.com/publicPicture.php?PictureId=203 http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/ah_real_estate_selling/article/0,1801,HGTV_3165_5532638_02,00.html http://www.roomvues.com/publicPicture.php?PictureId=179&target=/picturePublicList.php&CategoryId=&PPage=2 http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/rm_paint_walls/article/0,,HGTV_3770_1384070,00.html http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/rm_paint_walls/article/0,,HGTV_3770_1381938,00.html You can also take a photo of your room & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website: http://www.roomvues.com/ You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
