  1. Im a teen and parents need to realize that everything in a teen's room is exactly where it need to be
  2. I've never cleaned my room myself, ever. It's not that bad looking actully. I hate having things all "perfect" and "put away nicely". I like it all scattered on the floor, so It's within easy reach. Considering, my room needs a GOOD clean right now. There's empty mcdonolds bags on the floor, empty pringles, empty crisp packets, empty haribos, cups, etc.
  3. I have a job and contribute money to the household so my room can be messy if I want it to be >< lol
  4. My parents get infuriated, my dad's threatened to take the door off my hinges on more than one occasion. I don't see the big deal because most of the time it's not even that messy.
  5. I hate that they get so bothered by it. I'm freaking 20 and my mom STILL flips over my room being messy sometimes. I usually like living at home, but sometimes it totally sucks at this age. D: The only way to stay organized is to keep up with everything. Put something back in it's proper place as soon as you're done using it. Put clean clothes away as soon as you bring them to your room. Stuff like that.
  6. If you take the time to do a good cleaning and remember to put things back where they go once your done with them it works wonders. Instead of throwing your shirt on the floor because your in a rush to get to school and think that you'll put it in there later take a few extra seconds to take it to the laundry basket, keep pencils, pens, etc in a little bin and put them back when your done with them. Take 15 minutes a week to quickly tidy up small messes so that they don't turn into big messes, keep things that are similar together in bins and such for easy reach and so they're easier to put back where they belong. The only reason rooms get messy is because we're too lazy or don't have the time to put stuff back where it belongs and those little things add up.
  7. my mom dunt cre bcuz im rich nd hav a maid so she clens my rum
  8. My room is sort of messy, but it's the way I want it. I don't make my bed because I prefer getting into an unmade bed than a made one. My mom cared about that for a while, but I just didn't make it regularly so she stopped bothering. Beside that, I usually throw used-but-not-dirty clothes on a chair I never sit in. I also just throw my backpack/books on the floor whenever I'm home, since it's just the most accessible location for it. My parents cared a lot about my older brother's room before he went to college. He'd have dirty clothes/towels all over the floor all the time, to the extent that he would get spider bites because spiders lived in them. So that pissed them off. But they're fine with mine.
