How often do you clean your kid's bedrooms?
And how long does it take before it looks like a tornado went through it again? And when could your child really clean their own room? My kid thinks he's hilarious... Just figured out how to open his toy box and is currently throwing it's contents all over his bedroom floor, after I just picked them all up. I don't think he looks EXACTLY like your kid....

- Never. Her and Daddy clean it every other day...or so they say, cause by the time I get home I can't tell. 3 year olds are awfully destructive.
- i clean it about once a week... it gets tornadoed after a day or two... idk, my 8 yr old doesnt clean it right, but i dont blame him... he tries, but with the 4 yr old in there too, its kinda impossible
- They clean it 2 or 3 times a week, it is messy within an hour or two from coming home from school. I would go insane cleaning it everyday....so i just close the door (there, admitting it, lol) My kids can clean their own room at about 18 months with supervision, but now, they are pretty good at it on their own (3 and 4 years old) with me going in every few minutes to tell them to get on it and stop playing, lol
- Eventually they'll clean their room. Lol sorry if I'm not much help, but your baby look exactly like mine, face hair everything !
- Once a day must be lucky my 4 kids keep there rooms clean just the rest of the house that looks like a Bomb has hit it lol
- I clean it daily, it last about 20 minutes if I am lucky
- I dust twice a week....make the beds in the morning, and fix the beds after nap....they don't play in there. They have a toy room. I pick it up before nap and before bed.
- Once or twice a week. 1 hour! He helps but he cant do it all himself.
- I give my kids $100 to clean their rooms weekly but they don't do a great job & i usually go back & do it.
- My child started cleaning up around 3 yrs old really well, as long as everything has a place she is really good about putting things away. I might clean up her room once a day and after that its up to her to keep things neat. But when it comes to cleaning you have to out your foot down...
- Once a week. It takes a few days to get messy again. Mine's only 3.5 and she's not there yet!
- My son is 14, has been cleaning his own room for years. He started helping to clean it up around age 2. I'd say by 5, he was pretty much able to do most of the work.
- i usually go in most days just to pick the toys up, but hoovering and wiping everything down 2/3 times a week, and once a week i wash the bedding obviously depending if something has happened. My eldest 2 kids (7 & 5) are terrible for clearing up their mess, i will say go up and tidy your toys up and they will come down about 10 mins later and say they are done and when i go up all they have really done is push things around, making it look like they have done something but actually have dont nothing...my 3 yr old son is probably the best he will tidy his toys away and then he goes and gets the sweeping brush to sweep the living room ...and seems to really enjoy it.! And i dont think kids ever really get in the thing of cleaning their own rooms my sister is 21 still living with my mum (does not have kids) and her bedroom is always a mess, worse than i have ever seen my kids..so dont think they ever grow up really!!!
- I never clean their room...they do. Several times a day we have what we call "quick clean"...usually before lunch and before bed they will have to do a quick clean. The 2 kids of mine that are old enough to do it are 3 and 4...I set a timer for 10 minutes and if they finish before it beeps, they get a treat...if they don't, I set it for another 10 minutes and then if they are not done they get a time-out. Also, I make it simple. If you have all toys and their pieces in his room, then it will get trashed pretty bad every day. Any toys that have lots of little pieces (puzzles, kitchen set toys, blocks) are kept in little plastic storage bins in their closet...when they want to play with it, they take 1 bin at a time and have to clean it up before they start something new. Then I leave only a few larger toys in the toy bin...and put the rest else where (out of their accessibilty). This leaves only big, simple toys in the toy bin...so even if he does empty the toy bin, the contents will be large and only a few...making cleaning easier. Then every couple of weeks, they get to "trade toys"...they take toys in their toy bin and switch them for the toys I put away. Sorry so long! This helps me keep things simple and mostly clean! Good luck!
- We clean it often..now i clean the living room and playroom a couple times a day (cause i babysit too) but there rooms are off limits to the babysitting kids..we clean their room often too when it gets to messy we clean!
- I get them to help me with a quick tidy up every day almost, just putting toys back and stuff, they are 3 and 5. I will do a big clean up and changing of bed linnen once a week. It gets messy pretty quickly, thats why i get them in their with me every day or 2, if i didnt you would not be able to see the floor. My son is the worst at it tho he`s 3 and will destruct his room then start on his sisters
- I do the same as Emma & Laura's mom. The girls make their beds in the morning, but I have to "fix" the LO's. I do the dusting and run the vacuum once a week.
- My girls are 6 and 3. They clean their room every night before tv time, about a half hour before bed. They know where everything belongs and they put it there. I vacuum their bedrooms once a week, when I also change their sheets/blankets, and put their clothes away.
- I pick it up when it needs picked up, change/wash her sheets every week or two, and as far as toys go, its a tornado again within minutes after I pick up after her!
