where can i get some furniture at a discounted rate?
just moved into a new house and i dont have alot of money to spend but i definitely need a good bedroom set for my daughter and i at a reasonable price. i live in baltimore so if anyone knows of any places i would appreciate it. thanks in advance...oh also if you know where i can get some carpet from too that would help as well.

- Craigslist is your best bet! I'm not sure how many people sell on Craigslist up there, but here in Dallas it's like a gold mine. People are selling perfectly good furniture at garage sale prices. It's hard for me not to want to buy it all! Also down here the Salvation Army and Goodwill have furniture. A lot of older furniture is better anyway because it's solid wood and doesn't have the formaldehyde and bad chemicals that the new "fake wood" furniture has. Good luck!
- You could try flea markets and rural auctions for furniture. Often you can get carpet remnants at carpet stores if you don't need to cover a huge area. I bought very nice high quality carpeting remnants for a 11 X 17 room and for a 11.6 X 11.6 room for 2/3 off the original price.
