POLL: is this a kids dream bedroom?

I don't have much money, but i'm slowly going to scrimp, save and buy to get my daughter this bedroom. I've already bought her a new mattress (desperately needed after potty training and illnesses) so the bed'll be £50 cheaper. She's 4 in may, and bed will be bought last in september. What do you think? I know for how little money we've got it's kinda obsessive, but i'm not doing what my mum did, I had the same bed and mattress and furniture from being 3 to 17 and moving out, becuase she spent her money on doing up the kitchen etc, she's even got my little bro sleeping on it so she can get her bedroom done, and i'm almost 21! http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6927266.htm http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9283464.htm http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9284645.htm http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0670825.htm http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0670612.htm http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6001948.htm http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6232896.htm http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1267598.htm http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1194609.htm http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1367601.htm http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1367601.htm http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5296022.htm WTF??? NO! You sick fuck, i'm a mother! Well the midsleeper will be ok for ages, you can take the tent and slide etc off. Everything else i can replace, not bothered about having to do it the same way again and again, as long as my kids have what they want.

  1. Are you a pedophile?
  2. Looks lovely
  3. Your daughter will love it, its very pretty.
  4. POLL: do you sound like a pedo thats building an underground "fritzel style" dungeon?
  5. It's cute! I think she'll love it! :)
  6. Rethink this. Its best you choose a bedroom that your daughter can grow into. Its cute but its not something your daughter will want after 5 years.
  7. you dont want to spend too much money and then have to change it, go for prahaps a feature wall in pink with the other walls white to make it look fairly light then you can add some furnature, the bed will need to be changed anyway as she will get too tall to go underneath, go for some fairly neat furnature but nothing completely pink otherwise you'll find she'll want to change it in about 5or 6 years dont go too overboard and if you're getting a tv get a black or silver one
  8. First of all as this is only argos stuff, i suggest you look in IKEA, it has some really cheap stuff sometimes. Does she really need all this stuff? I mean, i know your a mother and you just want to give your daughter everything, especially as you didn't have a proper bedroom yourself when you was younger, but does she really need the pink sofa, and the pink tub chair as well as the table and chair set. I would say take out the pink sofa. Also you want to buy some stuff she can grow into, for example does the TV really have to be pink? And maybe buy her a white wardrobe, white goes really nice with pink, and she can use it still when she gets abit older. You could just put some Disney posters up instead of a whole Disney wardrobe. Happy decorating! :)
  9. Have a little skim over some of the stuff I wrote here http://www.mattressman.co.uk/all/kids_beds/all/all/P0S0/all_kids_beds.aspx?location=sidebar It's fine to go nuts and buy your daughter these items - but it's probably for the best if you didn't. Kids tend to grow up at an insane rate and she'll inevitably grow outta this within 3-7 years or so. You'll be left trying to sell these bits and bobs on eBay at discounted rates. Grab some neutral furniture - this way it won't go out of date as soon as she matures a little and can be incorporated into her new room(s) when she inevitably chooses to reorganise them.
