- it would be better if you post a pic of the room .. and a sketch of the room itself .. so we can help you with arranging the furniture :)
- Okay, so if you can get rid of some of the furniture, do so! That will save you space to start with! It really depends how much stuff you need to get tidied away as to what furniture you need. Perhaps you can ditch the dresser and get one of those mirror panels or a proper mirror to stick on the back of your door, or in a good spot on a wall, Then you can put your toiletries on your side table instead of having the dresser taking up loads of room. The book cases are good, but you said you also have a desk with a hutch. Can you use the hutch as a book case and get rid of one of the book cases? Do you need the desk? Desks take up a lot of room! Is the side table big enough to do your homework on? Maybe have a huge tidy out of your room and throw out all the stuff you have not used/worn etc in the last twelve to eighteen months. Give it away on freecycle, ditch it in the bin, or perhaps sell it on ebay, then you will have less stuff to try put places and will therefore need less furniture! I hope this has helped, but really you need to give us more information if you want help! Photos are great, too! :) BB
- get boxes or baskets for the bookshelves to hide stuff
