Purple kid's bedroom ideas?
I am painting my daughter's bedroom next weekend and I have no idea what to do. I want to paint it a lilac color and I want something creative and different but my mind is completely blank on what to do. She will be 4 in January and is a very girly-girl. Her other two favorite colors are turquoise and pink, so maybe a room that could incorporate those two colors too. I don't want anything disney princess theme or too baby like, because I would like for her to grow with this and not want to change it in a year or two. Can anyone please give me ideas or pictures on what I could do? I need as much help as I can get! Thank You!

- well the color choices are very pretty and work wel together but if you want to get your daughter involved in her room them have her help you paint. after you've painted her room have her spatter paint the wallls using the other colors. hope i helped :)
- if you can paint flowers, lilacs are pretty, purple, "girly". could turn her walls into a nice garden of colors. this is an idea that could stay put through all her childhood.
- I keep thinking stripes. Either lilac as the background with a 12" pink stripe, then a smaller 4" turquoise stripe. Painters tape works really well for this. A chair rail idea, half lilac on bottom a turquoise strip to separate then the top pink. I usually search yahoo, for girls bedroom lilac, pink, turquoise, then search under "images" Better Homes and Garden website has some good girl room ideas.
- get ideals from magazines, try HGTV website and search for kids rooms...get ideals on there as well.
- Always pick out bedding first. Then you can decide what color to paint the walls. Here is a great purple room :http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=1864008&DeptID=83422&CatID=83485&SO=0&Ne=949+877+1031+1007+8+18&x5view=1&NOffset=2&pagesize=1&shopperType=G&N=4294930669&Nao=0&PSO=0&bcCat=3&CmCatId=83422|83485 http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=1afce5e&DeptID=83422&CatID=83485&SO=0&Ne=949+877+1031+1007+8+18&x5view=1&NOffset=2&pagesize=1&shopperType=G&N=4294930669&Nao=0&PSO=0&bcCat=3&CmCatId=83422|83485 More purple :http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=18dada7&DeptID=83422&CatID=83485&SO=0&Ne=949+877+1031+1007+8+18&x5view=1&NOffset=2&pagesize=1&shopperType=G&N=4294930669&Nao=0&PSO=0&bcCat=3&CmCatId=83422|83485 This one is so sweet :http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/teen-vogue-bedding-nantucket-stripe-twin-comforter-set?ID=601311&CategoryID=13661&LinkType=#fn=sp%3D1%26spc%3D209%26ruleId%3D52%26slotId%3D11 You can then paint the walls a pale pink. Have fun decorating .
- Those colors look great together!! You can paint the walls whichever color and then do rugs/bedside tables or other little things the other color. Example: Paint the walls purple and make the rugs turquoise or vice versa! (: Hope I helped!!
