Paint color ideas for bedroom to match grey and black bedding?!?

We are working on our master bedroom and it is in the lower level of a split level home. So we have a long and narrow room (about 12 x 24). It also has a knee wall around on 2 sides. Our bed is at the far end in the middle of the 12' wall with a window and knee wall behind it and 2 windows and knee wall on one side. We just purchased new bedding (http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=131750&RN=31&) and I don't know what color to do the room. I was thinking of an accent wall behind the bed and the rest of the walls a very soft grey or all the walls one color. I need help.....at a total loss and totally stuck for color and design choice!!!

  1. I would probably go with a nice warm red or a sandy kinda color. I don't like a lot of dark so if my bedding is a dark solid color than I would want my walls to brighten everything else out. Everything dark is depressing to me.
  2. Light yellow is always a good match for dark furnishings and covers like black. It might also do well with with soft grey but still depending on the actual shade of the yellow paint that you're going to use.
  3. Slate Blue would look awesome!
  4. The Best thing you can do is go on a site called : http://www.rjtpainting.com and use their color visualizer. It’s a great tool and it allows you to either upload a photo of your own house/room or pick one the their rooms to paint. You simply drag and drop the colors wherever you want to paint and can also save your choices. In the bedroom option you can even change the color of the bedding !! Good Luck!!!!
  5. www.sherwin-williams.com also has a color visualizer application that may be helpful.
