I need help designing a teen girls bedroom?

There are 2 girls that share a large room. Both girls are very creative and artsy. They love high fashion and music...I guess you could describe them as "alternative". There are really no guidlines except that they are painting the room a deep teal (&they will not be using purple or gold) But other wise I just need some help. Thanks in advance!

  1. well, it's great that they have so much in common. however, for girls it's nice to have something different than someone else. maybe if u could find coordinating bedding, but not the same exact stuff? just mix and match a bit...get creative! http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Teal-Rose-4-piece-Comforter-Set/2597285/product.html http://www.pbteen.com/gift/thm/thmgrl/index.cfm?page=all i hope you get some good ideas from this and good luck with your decorating. i hope your girls love it!

  3. You could get some cool old albums(records) and frame them or put them on the wall and get cool vintagey looking pictures or whatever their favorite band is.
  4. i would say let them get a few posters of there fave bands and get poster frames to put them in both are cheap and easy and will express there fave bands posters can be bought on line art.com , ebay.com and more sites and in stores like wal mart, target, hot topic, spencers etc also paint is great and so is new bedding all this can change the room on a small budget and make the room feel brand new =D
  5. Wall art: how about a fashion timeline? Get a bunch of pattern envelopes with nice illustrations (Vogue patterns are usually the most fashion-forward of the commonly available brands), or a selection of prints from fashion magazines, and mount in frames or on board. If they have old band t-shirts they love, but which no longer fit, these can be stapled to artist board or over a stretched canvas and hung on the walls, or turned into pillowcases, or if they have enough, sewn together to make a quilted throw. Bend old records in half and mount to the wall as wall pockets for CD's, papers, etc.
