  1. You don't need to completely change everything, just move some of the furniture around to different positions (If you can, depending on the size of your room) Also, you can get a plain duvet and pillow cover and use fabric paints to put on some nice polka dots. One last suggestion, paint your walls White (Makes the room feel a LOT bigger) and paint Polka dots on there too. Hope I helped a bit :)
  2. Get rid of big chunky furniture, get slim sleek furniture, lots of white (white makes a room feel bright, airy and bigger, dark colours close in rooms more) and have your favourite colours as accents on assessories such as curtains, cusions, desk assessories etc. Less is more and wont date as easily.... 3. It's always fun redecorating your room, especially if you like polka dots. First, get and idea of where you're going to put any funiture. Think of what funiture you reeeally need. I took my desk out of my room(i didn't use the desk at all.), which was litterally a 10x11 box! Anyway, that gave me a ton of space. This is similar to what I do, I just don't use the straight edge, the triangles, or the architect's scale, but you may want to. http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/dc_furniture_tips/article/0,,HGTV_3452_1372419,00.html Anyway, polka dot comforters are fairly easy to find at wal-mart, target or any thng like that. the mall probably has stuff like that too. You can even make your own stuff Grab a cute, inexpensive lamp with a solid lampshade. Find scrape material from old clothes or linens. You could even use paper if you want. Cut out polka dots from the material or paper and attatch them to your lamp! It's super cute and allows you to show off your creative side. Any questions? Pleeease email me! I'd be happy to help you!
  4. heeey! im a teen girl and im painting my room tomorrow a turquoise color with a green color accent the turquoise is called gem turquoise by behr and the green is honeydew by behr a pretty inexpensive comforter http://www.target.com/Polka-Dot-Bedding-Collection/dp/B0017LRWT8/sr=1-3/qid=1215070875/ref=sr_1_3/602-1160747-2057440?ie=UTF8&index=target&field-browse=1041482&rh=k%3Apolka%20dot&page=1 get like 3 shadow shadow boxes and put them on a diaganol
  5. You can give your teens bedroom a fun but sophisticated look by painting the room in a "cool" color like chocolate, sage or purple and using accents to as focal points. A flokati or rag rug will lend a sophisticated air and you can even put the down as area rugs on top of wall to wall carpeting to give the floor a whole new look. Replace the kids ruffled or theme curtains with tab topped curtains in a denim or canvas for a more adult look. Bedding for teen can be plain, or funky - whatever goes with the room. Depending on your teens taste, a neutral colored bed set with nicely textured fabrics like silks or a velvet duvet can add interest with out being too flashy. Or if you want to make the bed a focal point, how about an animal print set or something in bright colors like hot pink and orange? Accents are where you add interest and give the room personality. Some fun accents include chairs shaped like a giant shoe, faux fur covered lamps in wild colors, bean bag chairs of all types, phones in all shapes and sizes, funky accent pillows, rugs and wall art.
  6. What you could do is keep the walls white, and add polka dots all around the room (using your colors of course! :D) also a great idea is to look for a loft bed...if you want a cheap one that is cool looking go to http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50019950.....I think it would be great if you would get a metal loft bed, and then have metal accents around the room, such as metal picture frames that hold black and white pictures of u and your friends...... hope this helps!
