Anyone have tips for designing a teen bedroom?

- Use fabrics. Old cotton tapestry's are cheap and colorful. Make one wall of your room a color wall. then change your bedspread to contrast. Use smaller pieces of fabric on top of your dresser and end tables. if you really want to get creative here is the name of a book that will let you go wild. 1,200 paint effects for the home Decorator. by Ray Bradshaw. It has all kinds of color effects and paint swatches and shows your how to get the effects you want. I did two walls in my house and they came out really great. It was simple and easy and each wall took less that a couple of hours. (not counting drying time between coats of course) Check it out! you can get it at the library for free!

- First, check www.pbteen.com to have some ideas. Then, you have to choose the colors. If you like bright colors, you can use: pink/lime green, orange/light blue, purple/orange, yellow/pink. If you like more classic colors, use: lavender/light green, white, light blue, light blue/light green, light pink/white. Fot the furniture, you can get them white, so they´ll go with all styles and all colors. If you already have furniture in other colors, you can paint them white.
