- try a colored canopy and match some bedding to it also go online and you can order this really cool clear plastic egg shaped chair that hangs from the ceiling its really cool!
- you'll find all you need at target. trust me!!!
- pottery barn - teens...they have some really cute stuff!
- you should look on the net for some ideas on your room.
- yep, TARGET is awesome! they have some CUTE fun stuff at reasonable prices!
- I know you said no pink, but I just wanted to suggest this and you can pick your own color scheme: My 13yr old sister in law reciently painted her room brilliant blue, lime green, and hot pink(more on the pastel end of "hot"). On three of the walls she did individual solids of the three colors and on the third wall, she did a pin stripe about 1" thick each of the colors alternating. IT LOOKS AWESOME! Perhaps a purple, blue and green... Just a thought... It's a really fun room though! Good luck! Recently remodeled, Mena
- well try painting the room a kind of retro green then get some of those beeds that hang from the ceiling, those are cool. get a been bag chair or a circle char the bed spread should be like a pink with some retro shapes on it. get a fluffy area rug, with some pink drapery. and ad so cut funky accessories! have loads of fun!
- my friend wants to decorate her 13 yr. old daughter's bedroom...she's using purple or fuschia and has a canopy bed and it's really colorful and pretty
- i think it really depends on what her favorite colour is and how her personallity is and what kind of stuff that she likes
- Well you can start out by the kind of girl you are.If you are a hot girl and like hot boys you could probably put boy pictures in your room. If you are a girly girl then you could probably put barbie dolls or pictures of other weird dolls girly girls play with.
- What a BRATS theme, or using 2 colors to develop a mood to the room? My son will be starting highschol in September. Right now his room has a Mickey Mouse theme and he wants it changed. What are the suggestions from the group?
- go to better homes and garden's website: http://www.bhg.com you can create a free membership and paint a room yourself to see what i looks like or you can go here for other ideas: http://www.teensthemes.com/ that one has alot of ideas
- Take her shopping. Have some bonding time. Find out what she likes. Take her to Wal-mart, a department store, Pier One, pottery barn etc. and see what she is drawn to. Have lunch and take in a movie maybe.
- I am not sure about your budget- but most pre teens change their minds so I would stick to cheap! Go to good will or garage sales- select the basic furniture shapes you have in mind- a dresser, night stand, etc. Sand them lightly and spray paint in her favorite color- or let her do it- Decoupage (cut and glue) her number one interest on the pieces. Select one or two of the colors and use them on the walls. Maybe bold stripes or three walls one color and the last as the focal point. Check out hgtv website and look at great ideas from Design on a dime!
