- well ur room will be really cold and dark if u paint ur room that colour... pain ur window sills white, then walls purple and ceiling black or something. u can either do it urself, or u can hire someone to so it. look in the phone book or ask ur parents
- ur yahoo avatar doesnt look emo
- my sister is 'emo' or if thats really what its called and what she did was got a DARKKKK purple, and a black. she painted two walls one color and the other two walls the other. it looked good and suited her well.
- okay....check out this link : http://www.thejunglestore.com/Purple-Zebra-Leopard-Print-Bed-In-A-Bag-Set-Z398 I think it would be a lot of fun to use this as the center piece of your room - along with the bed in a bag I would paint the wall behind your bed the purple color of the bed in a bag, but go one or two shades lighter, you want contrast - the other walls I would leave in an off white, linen white by Benjamin Moore or similar paint - one of the walls I would have a shelf where you can display trophies, ribbons, or pictures of friends. A solid color area rug would be my choice - maybe of the "fuzzy" variety. For even more fun, with permission from your parents......... there is paint that can painted on the walls for a "chalkboard".......no matter what, make your room YOUR room..have fun with it. Another idea is to section of "areas" of the room using your vanity and desk - around your window seat you could place the shelves with your tv, ipod and whatever......if you have friends over it will give you a place to have everyone visit and an entertainment area in your room...with parents permission.
- How about painting one of your walls purple and black, sort of like accent piece. You could add another color (possibly a slate gray) to it, and do some sort of mural. Then use the third color on the other walls to pull it all together. That way you'll still have your two favorite colors, but your room won't feel closed in. You can get a carpenter (from Home Depot) to come help build you a window seat with lots of storage under it. You could also possibly arrange your bed horizontially (like a day bed/sofa) rather then vertically, it might take up less space that way, and make your room feel bigger. You could get lots of cool rugs at Ikea, I personally really like the black shag rug they have. I think they have rugs made out of leather too there, for your allergies, but I dunno. Anyways hope my ideas helped, let me know how your room turns out!
- Black walls, violet trim. Do bright white curtains that extend from ceiling and puddle on the floor. Antique, smoky mirrors or even some of the mirrored furniture that is on the market right now. Stay away from the animal print someone suggested. Go for dark, modern, lush, and textural. If you have a lot of lamps and light from the windows, the room wont seem like a dismal cave but a nice comfy sanctuary. Try a big baroque mirror frame above your headboard and paint it something glossy or have the paint peeling... Try one feature wall with something textural http://www.designyourwall.com/store/Purple-damask-flock-wallpaper-VCC0417-pr-193.html http://www.designyourwall.com/store/Snake-Skin-black-novelty-wallpaper-weLLx221-pr-924.html I could go on but you get the idea. And dont be hesitant to add one unexpected punch of color like turquoise or acid yellow like a single pillow or something
