- I kind of don't think pink would be fair to the boys. You would be repainting pretty quick How about bugs...some bugs can be a little more girly looking but they are still bugs, or safari, or puppies. i think you should remain neutral
- If it was me, I would not do blue and pink. I would do a non gender specific color, like green or yellow. Pale green would be pretty because that could be used for a girl or a boy
- I'm assuming it's all 3 in one room. Yellow would be a great paint color for the whole room. Then you could just do bedding in primary colors. Maybe green, blue, and red for each bed. I'm kinda into vintage decor, you could do quilts on each bed and then for wall decor do old pictures from storybooks of little girls AND boys playing together (like Dick and Jane).
- play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours: http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/ I think it would be a good idea to choose a gender neutral color for the whole room, like "trusty tan" (# 6087). You can also take a photo of your room & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website: http://www.roomvues.com/ You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
- I would do a one gender neutral color like yellow or green instead of part pink and part blue, or how about a theme that has both girls and boys in it. Like Dora the Explorer and Diego or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (which will have Mickey and Minnie, Daisy and Donald, etc.). Then choose color(s) for the walls that match that bedding. Or a set like this is pretty gender neutral. http://www.kaylasroom.citymax.com/catalog/item/6025128/5996561.htm
- Sounds like a good idea maybe do stripes, and use one neutral color as well 9in between the stripes. get some ideas from hgtv.com
