Bedroom decorating ideas for 14 year old?
-14 years old -Just bought new bedroom furniture -Average room sized not much space the furniture is really nice i have a double bed but i want it to be more like me but my parents might freak if i ask for more since the bedroom set costed a lot and they don't want me making my room cluttery and everything they want me to keep it looking like this - but i dont like my room looking so bla......im gonna get decorating pillows for my bed what else can i do to make it show more personality?

- Just acessorise it to your style. Add pillows pitures lights. You dont want to paint it cause that last longer and will be harder to change. Where if you do pillows you can just switch them out. Maybe even revirsible pillows.
- it depends on what you like. try hanging a few pictures or posters, and a nice paint job never hurt anybody. you could do cute stripes or polka dots or i even saw this thing on tv where they made bamboo using that blue painters tape. doing things with the wall or the paint scheme will keep you from making your room too cluttered.
- buy posters and put them up change your sheets and blankets and such to suite yourself more and lay just leave all your clothes lying everywhere...that's what all the cool kids do
- along with the pillow idea you suggested, i would also invest in some lamps for your room. i know cheap places like walmart and target have a good selection of lamps that are targeted towards the younger age group. also, places like ross have really cute storage ideas. ya know, where they look like a basket for magazines. also, i always have loved the display where it looks like a pillow or a quilt but it has a bunch of rubberbands on it and you can put pictures of friends or tickets of a game you just went to. THAT will deff show your personality. picture frames are a good idea too. i have shelves and i loooove them. its great storage of trophys. its a great way to display things you may collect, room for movies or video games, picture frames. if you have tile or wood, i would get a rug. if your room is plain right now, get a rug that has a pattern in it but still matches but please make sure everything you buy in some way matches your room. either with the wall color or accents from your pillows to the bed spread. too much color that doesnt match eachother looks like clutter
