Feng Shui bedroom question?
I have Hokusai's "Great Wave" print above my bed, and it looks wonderful. My Mother said she is not sure how "Feng Shui" this is, and is not sure about having 'fierce waves' above my head when I am sleeping - can someone confirm or (hopefuly) deny my Mother's comment? She can be a bit of an odd ball at times. I have done my own Feng Shui research but I can't find anything to support her point, in fact I found this on a Feng Shui site; "How you decorate and furnish your bedroom is purely personal". - Hi, waves or water photographs are not recommended by Feng Shui" in bedrooms, for water elements are not restful, water is always moving, landscapes are better..and yet I do agree that one is to decorate with things they love, perhaps you can put this picture somewhere else in your home. If you want your romantic life to be better, add some touches of red in your room, such as accessories, pillows, vases. Best feng shui advice for the bedroom art is to choose images that you want to see happening in your life. - I think this is a very good question, and is in the back of every ones mind when it comes to Feng Shui bedroom placement. The art of placement in the house and bedroom follows ancient techniques that is about the feeling it produces, so they create general ideas about certain pictures or ornaments. Example: the colour of your room, light blue creates a cool feeling which wouldn't really suit cold climates. Pictures of animals in pairs in your room creates a sense of love and closeness. The picture you have introduces the water element and would need to be balanced with some red objects, but the truth is how does the picture make you feel, what is the intention behind the picture and why is it there?
