What color should I paint my bedroom walls...?

My bedroom walls are white at the moment. I have black bedroom furniture that looks worn in some spots. My sheets are a golden honey color. I have no idea what color to paint my walls b/c i dont really want to paint them gold or tan. Any ideas on what colos would go well with black and gold.

  1. dude paint um black it matched everything and it would look cool with gold
  2. um, how about, a red, a nice crimson.
  3. I would go with a pastel, maybe green or yellow?
  4. i know you said no tan, but any type of nuetral colors would go very well, also an eggshell color would look good. you could also do more than one color as a contrast. my daughters room is going to be pink and blue or pink and purple pastels doing it in duel colors may make other things stand out, you don't want any color that is to loud if you want something else to be the center of the room ( the attention drawn to a piece of furniture or the bedspread etc in the room) instead of to the walls. Depends on what you want to do as well, color can enhance the room and have certain effects. Dark colors can make the room look smaller. Certain colors add a certain atmosphere to the room. Light colors are good for in the bedroom, pastels, blues because this gives a calm serene feeling to your bedroom. Loud colors are to eye popping for a bedroom and have add an erratic feeling. Thats why they recommend putting blue or light pink in a baby's room it is supposed to be calming and help them sleep.
  5. A DEEP RED
  6. i would go with blue not dark but not really light, and your trimming paint it black or white, that way youll have a bold color but not have to paint it all black to match your furniture, then go with some pictures to go with the blue walls and also has the colors of your sheets and some black in it then all the colors will come together and blend.
  7. I would go with a red color because you could make it more of an asian theme if you really wanted to. The other thing you could do is distress your black furniture more to make it look more worn so that it looked like it was on purpose. The tan sheets would look good with the black and the red. As an accent color, you could try a stark white or even a green (think bamboo) or brown color. I find that when I think of a "theme", it brings the color choice in mind right away. Good luck!
  8. look at your furniture or other important things in the room paint the walls that color and it willl bring those things out to b noticeable it would b very nice
  9. Purple is the complementary color for yellow. If you're daring, you might try something like Glidden's "deep aubergine." I think it would make the bedding really pop.
